It is no secret that the mainstream music industry is heavily biased toward the Record Companies rather than the creator of musical works. Often music contracts provide the Artist with less than 10% of the revenue collected. With managers and distributers claiming vast portions of these incomes, so they are able to dominate the industry. The Musiverse aims to shift this balance back in the favor of the artist, giving them greater control over their music, without the need to sign away their music rights, in order to promote and distribute their works.
The Musiverse platform enables artists to crowd-fund creative projects using smart contracts that pay the holders of tokens called Unique Digital Assets (UDAs). Each UDA represents a share of the project’s earnings from royalties.
